Don’t miss out! If you haven’t yet renewed your membership then you would not have received the reminder emails about the annual dinner this coming Saturday. If you’ve renewed in the last couple of weeks you may also not have received the emails as per the note on the home page about the treasurer being away.
It’s early in the membership year and though we have received a hefty number of renewals already, we wanted to remind everyone else, as well as mention that CAWA will contribute $10 towards the meal of each full member.
So what are you waiting for? Join or renew now via the link on the homepage.
For all the details see the previous post: CAWA Winter Dinner
Please send your rsvp to Melissa: email@example.com by 5 pm Friday 22 August 2014 so we can finalise numbers.
Hoping to see you there.
Please add your feedback to the CAWA Forum; ‘Where would you like to see CAWA go in 2014?’
Be sure to renew you memberships for the coming year, thanks!
This weekend (15th & 16th June) there is an opportunity to climb & maybe be photographed for use in a new Onsight Photography Photobook, produced by Simon Carter. Simon Carter has been a premier force in outdoor photography in Australia for a number of years, and centres his passion in the rock-climbing arena. A number of guidebooks that you already use, have Onsight Photography photo-topos in them. Onsight Photography also produces a fantastic photo calender. Check it out at – http://www.onsight.com.au/
Simon is keen to have some WA climbers in this new batch of photos, and would be great to show some of WA (climbers) to the rest of the Australia/the World.
Onsight Photography was also a Sponsor in the climbing competition last year, so this is a great chance for us as climbers to give a little back.
If you are interested in making the weekend trip South please send through
your interest to firstname.lastname@example.org or txt me 0424 631 869
Please note; no bookings are being made for this trip, and
you will be responsible for your own accommodations, travelling, and partnering.
Further information will be sent once climbing locations and times are finalised.
Please forward along to other local climbers who may be interested in this opportunity.

We’re kicking off 2013 with the old time favourite climbing trip to Willyabrup over the Labour Day Long Weekend – arriving Fri 2nd March or Sat 3rd March and departing Monday 4th March (Labour Day) 2013.
We’ll be staying at the Gracetown Caravan Park. CAWA has reserved a group block of 12 tent sites (unpowered) at a cost of $TBA per nite – 3 nite minimum as it’s a long weekend. As this is a booked out period for Gracetown, you need to register your interest with either Mark Kleinman or Tony Brebner ASAP to book your camp spot. Contact details below.
Most of you know about the campsite and its proximity to Willyabrup and other climbing areas. Drop us an email if you have any questions about the trip.
Gracetown Caravan Park is on the corner of Caves Road and Cowaramup Road that leads to Gracetown.
Some of us will travel down on Friday 2nd March afternoon/evening, but please ensure you arrive no later than 9pm, as requested by the campsite management. That gives us the ability to get after an early start on the rock on Saturday morning.
Read about the Willyabrup and other local areas in the Margaret River Rock, West Coast Rock or the Perth Rock Climbing Guide and follow the links on the CAWA web.
Please note that CAWA trips are a benefit for members. Non-members who are interested in coming can join online. All participants need to be ‘independent participants’. This means you are responsible for your own safety. Due to legal and liability issues, CAWA does not provide training. If you are an inexperienced climber, then have a chat to some of the more experienced people you know and see if they are planning to attend.
If you are interested in coming, please let us know asap by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. For any other queries contact Mark Kleinman at email@example.com or Tony Brebner at firstname.lastname@example.org on mobile on 0416186510.
See you there 🙂
Thanks to All climbers who got in and registered early. Registrations have now been closed.
If you are making independent travel plans to the the area CAWA hopes you have a safe & fun trip – we look forward to see you all out there!!!
