Darlington Boulders

ClimbOnline-guidePerth › Darlington Boulders

A beautiful place with superb atmosphere, Darlington is full of the granite boulders that typify Perth climbing. It is just that here they are bigger and better than anywhere else! If you are chasing shade in hot weather, climb on the slabs or in Upper Darlington in the morning and on the boulders in the Main Area in the afternoon.

I go out this way as often as I can. Just yesterday I went exploring and found bolt city down by the creek. I took my mountain bike this time, usually I only go for a climb but I wanted to see how the mountain biking was too. This area seems really vast and hard to pin down my location on it. I was bush bashing yesterday and heard some voices down in the creek area but could not find who was there. Any climbers around that day August 20th around 4:30?

You might have better luck asking this sort of question on the forums.

Yes, there are some beautiful boulders and great climbing here…it’s too bad the directions in the guide book are so crap! Still the wild flowers are nice at the moment so the bush bashing wasn’t too bad. Maybe a couple of permanent tree markers could be a good idea given that just about all the rock cairns have been kicked down. All that said, this place is definitely worth a visit.
