Hi,
I’m going camping around Albany, Denmark, Walpole next week, between Christmas and New Years. Anyone have any good climbing spot ideas for me and a beginner? Top rope stuff would be best. (If anyone will be climbing down there, it might be fun to meet up)
Thanks,

Try the amphitheatre at the gap. Follow the little track from the car park that heads east for about 200m. The beginners wall on the right hand side is a good spot to start. Keep going another 100m and around the zig zag and rest day walls are worth a visit as well.
ChristianGuestThanks a lot Patrick! I really appreciate it. We’ll give it a go and let you know.
ChristianJohnGuestLeaving Walpole going north west, turn north onto the backroads and head for Mt Frankland. Not much top-rope but some easier single pitch slab right of the Free Burma start. Or the first pitch of Free Burma; lower off on chains.
