    Hi Steve
The Metolius Ultralight Mastercams are a good choice. Nice and light single axle cams. The full set will cover you for most of Perth and WA but you might need bigger stuff than your biggest mastercam. Black Diamond C4s are the usual ones to grab, but really most brands are good, it’s more personal taste and experience (I’m a convert to DMM Dragon cams myself). Double axle cams do act as passive nuts should the cam walk back into a crack and pop open. Some cams walk can more than others but that also varies with user skill. Single axle Wild Countrys friends don’t act passively (not sure about WC Heliums or DMM Demons) but your mastercams do. From mine and other’s experience common sizes are the BD yellow number 2, BD purple 0.5 and BD green 0.75 (not sure what sizes they are in mastercams but google the ranges for each cam and compare). At the other end you will need a few really small cams. Your smallest mastercam is a good little cam but also look at C3s and Aliens if you want more than one little cam. Keep in mind the smallest cams are really only rated for aid and small loadings (under 4kn), particularly the micro cams.
Surfing the net I’ve come across DMM, BD and Wild Country bringing out new/updated cams in May 2016 for the Dragons, C4s and Heliums I think (how long will they take to get to Australia though??) so keep an eye out for older stock on sale or wait for the sexy new stuff.

Thanks for the info. Now it’s decision time to wait for the new models or buy now.

Note: The new BD X4 are more flexible and therefore more versatile than the C3s

I find the X4’s are okay, but the green one (0.75) is too big for the flexible stem, so I would suggest the C4’s for anything bigger than purple (0.5)

The new version of DMM Dragons are called, wait for it, Dragon 2. They are starting to appear online.
