….because booze and climbing go together like peas and carrots!, why bother?. Coffee and food sounds pretty sweet.

thanks for clearing that up Hammond, just an observation from someone who thinks paying $18, when they have brought all their own gear is a bit steep. But hey its still south Gero for someone living down freo way. If its better than rockface, which isnt so hard. then maybe it will be worth the drive and $18.

Just a quick response to the issue raised about the liquor licence… there will be a strict policy around alcohol and no climbing, otherwise we would not be granted a licence in the first place. I am already an approved manager and have worked in the hospitality industry for some 15 years, the licenced area is a designated area on the mezzanine and is there for people to socialise together after climbing. If you don’t wish to drink (and we will encourage people to have a social drink only), enjoy a great coffee or fresh juice instead. Its all about trying to create a sense of community and variety in a gym other than just some climbing walls.

Safety first as always, anyone caught drinking then climbing will be in breach of the City Summit rules and regulations and will inqur a ban from the gym for a period of time. And by the way, we are yet to be granted the license so stay tuned 🙂

Also, don’t forget as a CAWA member you are entitled to a discount on the standard rate and you are also entitled to an additional discount through the members reward program… gotta look after the CAWA members afterall 🙂
