Hi, I am wanting to get into rock climbing. Is there any place locally that offers training to help kick start me on my path? I was thinking about doing it once or twice a week to learn the skills. My goal is to be able to do out door cliffs with a small group of friends.

There is info on this site about courses run in WA: https://www.climberswa.asn.au/climb/courses/
For example, Adventure Out run 1-day introduction courses and multi-day skills courses. Those are one-off courses and not something you would go to regularly.

Consider joining CAWA and heading to a gym crash – this is a good opportunity where you can get talking to other people who are learning to climb and trying to build their skills. You will encounter people that are just starting out and others that have been climbing for years. Some climbers really love the social aspect and helping each other learn, just don’t be put off that not everyone acts this way.
