Hi all,
The draft of the 2010 Perth Rock Climbing Guide will be available at Rockface and The Hangout climbing gyms from 7pm tonight 3rd August until Tuesday 31 August. This is slightly ahead of the published schedule. Please ask the staff at the counter. The purpose of this draft is to get comments on route names, grades, new anchors, fill in missing information, anything really. You can contribute information or your opinion by directly writing into the document or by emailing me directly on rossw@climberswa.asn.au , whichever is your style. Right now the draft is text-only, the index at the back is not yet updated and there are no pictures, I am working on those now. This is your chance to contribute, please don’t complain about mistakes later.
Please note that due to both lack of information or negative feedback, the guidebook will not cover bouldering. It will refer to the CAWA web site where miniguides can be downloaded from.
The photo comp (more info here) is still under way and I am not getting many quality photos, so if you send some good pics in, your chances of making the cover are rather good! The deadline is also 31 August.
The guidebook will on sale in shops on 1 December. Good climbing.
