Join us for “Rescue Ready: Single Pitch Climbing Emergencies”, a hands-on event designed to prepare you for common rescue scenarios in single-pitch sport climbing.
Gain confidence in your rescue skills and ensure a safe climbing experience for yourself and your partners. Participants will learn how to handle situations such as
- safe bailing,
- unconscious belayer,
- unconscious climber clipped hard to the anchor,
- dropped rope while cleaning a route,
- stacked lowering on a short rope,
- short of draws while on a route,
- dropped a rappel device,
- and more
Based on the weather forecast, the event will run early in the morning or late in the afternoon and will take about 5 hrs. TBC
The workshop is not for beginners. You should have a gym lead pass as a bare minimum and already have a few outdoor sports routes ticked. Without this minimal knowledge and experience, you won’t be able to proceed with the training.
What to bring and practice beforehand:
- sport rack – (helmet, harness, draws, belay device, bolt plates, dynamic rope)
- if you have then prusiks, spare lockers, personal anchor
