Summit Climbing is pleased to announce the return of our annual social roped climbing competition, Skyfall. See below for all the information you need to know to get involved!
Competition Format
Skyfall will consist of four categories for each gender:
• Youth (under 14) – Top Rope
• Beginner – Top Rope – Up to grade 20
• Intermediate – Lead – Grade 18+
• Advanced – Lead – Grade 22+
Participation in only one of the above categories is permitted.
The qualifying round is a Pump–Fest format and will consist of up to 7 routes per category climbed in a flash format. Competitors will be required to self–score during this round. Competitors will need to provide their own belayer and equipment for the pumpfest round. See Belayer and Equipment Policy for details.
The top 6 competitors in the Intermediate and Advanced categories will have a finals round, which
will be held in On–sight format. Belayers/judges will be provided for finals. Results of the Youth and Beginner categories will be decided based on the pumpfest results exclusively.
