Hi mate

There is a little quarry just west of the Wellington Dam turnoff on Coalfields Highway. I’m heading up there this morning for some bouldering practice, probably 10am till 2pm. Stop by if you get this and you’re free.

The GPS Coordinates for the quarry are 33 deg, 15′ 56.91″S, 115 deg, 57’47.33″E. Basically, head from Collie on the Coalfields Road. About halfway through the forest section after the Wellington Dam turnoff there is a turnoff to the right and a sign on the left saying “Beela Road”. Turn right there and follow the gravel road down to the bottom, probably about 3kms and park in the clearing on the left, just off the road. Walk west through the bush till you find a fence, or hit the old road, then turn right and follow it downhill till you find the quarry.

I’ve pinned a GoogleEarth placemark but am unsure if that’s freely accessible. It’s not a popular spot but we have had a couple of visitors whilst we’ve been there so be wary of what you leave visible in your car for people to steal.
