CALM maps can be brought from the Perth Map Centre in the City, see Yellow Pages for latest address (they keep moving around). One reason is that grid references are the best way to find some places, just because some crags are in the middle of a forest and it is very hard to clearly describe how to get there. Even if one was to use compass bearings, this would assume that you parked your car in the right spot to start off with ! The other reason is that some crags are of such poor quality (ie few climbs, small, remote…) that I just did not feel that a description was warranted….
