Hi, I live in Salmon Gums. It has been very dry this year & hot. We had 3 32deg days in a row last week. Bring plenty of water. Lots of wildflowers this year, very beautiful, and there are already plenty of snakes about. Some of the Lake King – Norseman Road was graded recently, but I do not know about the middle section. You can travel to Salmon Gums from Lake King (go straight ahead (do not turn right to Ravensthorpe) and then turn right onto Cascade Road and left onto Rollonds Road to come out onto the Coolgardie-Esperance Highway 20Km South of Salmon Gums. Gravel Roads recently graded – 2WD OK. Look out for wildlife at dusk & dawn but a beautiful drive & will save you hours off the trip.)
