?? it shouldnt really matter which way the draw is facing…if you clip correctly with the rope running from the rock face through the biner and out to you .. if you fall the rope shouldnt fall across the gate …to do this it would have to wrap around the biner and you would have to be pretty unlucky for this to happen..
