Barrington (or Gosnells) Quarry main section has never officially been open to the public. It is under the City of Gosnells jurisdiction and from what I can gather, the CoG do not want the public to access this area due to public liability insurance reasons. The gate has been put up numerous times and has been torn down or destroyed by people each time it was re-erected.
They are aware that the public want (and do) access the quarry, however, it is not deemed safe for public access and therefore will continue to be gated off.
