Hi,
I am looking someone to partner me climbing indoors once a week (maybe Tues night?). I am comfortably climbing 15-17 and would like to push grades and improve my technique. I’d love someone with experience to kick my butt and offer some constructive criticism!!

Hi jane, we have a small group that meet every Tuesday and Thursday at Urban Ascent. There is sometimes 6 of us. We have one young lady, Melissa who is very good and we be more then happy to have you come along an join us. We also climb outdoors nearly every week-end when weather permits. We normally get there between 4- 4.30 p.m. so come along and join in. Either myself, Eliott or Damien or Melissa are always there on Tuesdays. If you want we will be there tomorrow so come along.

Thanks Shane that sounds great. WHat time are you there till coz this week i cant get down there until abour 7pm, will you guys still be there or does it close quite early?
nope we will still be there at 7 p.m. tonight. but normally we get there around 4p.m. and leave about 8 p.m.

A few other people will be there as well and Shane can introduce you. We’ll be at UA from about 7:00 til later. All the gyms close at 10:00 during the week.

Jane we will all be out at Mountain Quarry on Sunday if you are interested. All you will need is a water bottle, hanress and shoes…. give us a call if you are interested we will be there around 9a.m. for the whole day

I’ve just got back into climbing after recently moving to Perth and am looking for some people to climb with. I am clinbing about a 16 but should improve if I start going regularly. If you’ve got room in your group for one more I would love to catch up with you.

gday, sorry to hijack your thread, but may try and join you all at mountain quarry, done a heap of climbing and developing back in nz but out of touch last few years due to family/job blah blah, family just moved to freo so keen to see what i cant fall off of again..or not .. got the gears just have to get rid of the cobwebs

does mountain quarry get the full sun?
and is mtn quarry a place where kids can have a run around while mum and dad have a climb?
Yeah kids are not a worry at Mt Quarry and yeah it get’s the full sun but there’s plenty of shade all through out the day.

Hi Ed,
Toc here just round the corner from you in Freo. There should be shade except maybe at noon and even then the north side will probably be ok. Children in the quarry can be seen from pretty much every climb.
I’m studying all weekend except for a quick trip to Blackwall Reach and can’t come out and play otherwise, (or I’d be in Merridin), so if you drop in you can grab an old guide. Number 12, with a red Landrover in King William St.

Thanx 4 the invite. Would have loved to come along but i’ll be celebrating Spring in the Valley that sun!!! Im definately keen on Tuesday so see you then 🙂
