Anyone out there who climbs with prescription lenses also use belay glasses? Can you use the belay glasses over your prescriptions or is there too much distortion? And lack of nose space to keep them on?
An overwhelming response. ..
There are clip on belay glasses for the discerning specs wearer. The brand is Y & Y and they work really well. The lenses can be flipped up out of the way. They come with silicon bits that fit on to the arms of your glasses to stop the slide down the nose with the added weight. They have their own cool little case complete with microfibre lenses cleaner and mini biner.
I use my belay glasses with sunnies. It works but is a bit crowded.
