I’m bored with this bolt wars cr*p.

What did people actually DO on the weekend ?

I tried to go to mountain quarry but got turned away. I think they were filming a commercial about moisturiser for guys. I saw Emil and Mark there with their shirts off. *cough*.

At Statham’s there was a good turn out of punters. Climbing routes with carrots and without. I didn’t climb anything as I didn’t like any of the bolts.

Instead I pulled a loose block off onto my leg and got 13 stitches and 3 hours in a hospital missing out on the All Chrysler Day (Valiant Car show). Not happy.

Anyway, congrats to those I saw out there CLIMBING.

And please, watch your language on the forums and lay off the personal insults – we live in a community you know !!!

I spent the entire weekend setting up computer networks. No fun for me.

Got drunk last night and dived into the swan river with a mate. That was my highlight.

Oh and I did an awesome clean ascent back up a slippery slide in a playground. Free solo.

I threw all my riggers off site for continued failure to comply with safety regulations. Sought of felt for them a bit being a climber! Shame as they have been donating some of my glue!

Neil, pulling loose blocks onto your legs is bad for you. Next time you could really injure yourself. Don’t do it again.

I went camping with the kids. On Sunday night I was Desperate @ Dogface, which is the only gym open then. Did a bit of bouldering in between getting a free perm in front of one of the massive air fans.

Somebody told me that I was good at it (bouldering, not perms). It seems that standards are dropping…..

Speaking of RF and being ‘good’ at bouldering, many moons ago when I was having a punishing session of falling off a particular problem with Ben, a kid walked in to the cave and watched us shredding ourselves for a while (falling off at about the 4th hold!).

Then the little darling piped up with ‘If you just try, you can do it. We learned that in school.’

So there you go. TRY. 🙂 I think she thought we couldn’t get to the top . . . .

I went to Roleystone pool and took a couple of friends. Nathan who had his first couple of outdoor Trad leads, Amanda who is getting back into the outdoor thing and Steve, who is coming back from a broken leg. plus my kids. Made for a good, easy and relaxing day on Saturday.

had a litle climb at Stahams with m son dylan and some others in the morning before it got too hot. Sunday was Dylan’s cricket carnival in the morning and an afternoon seista to finish the day.

Nice to have an interesting thread for a change! Me and Neil (not the same as above, I think) and Conrad went to Stathams Sat arvo – it was hot! Did Ross’s new route Mt Everest at back – very good for the grade, should be even better when the rock’s not too hot to touch! Did one of Phil C’s routes on the abseil wall, then Real Life Ambition (no longer in shade – hmmm!). Time for home and a very welcome dip in the pool.

                    Church on Sunday!

OK we don’t need everyone’s diary posted here, but yeah – this was the most interesting read on the site for a while. Having said that – hope the leg heals up quick, Neil.

I spent the we zonked with jet lag at the British Museum wondering why the mummies looked so much better than I felt. Where are these famous London climbing gyms anyway?

There’s a climbing gym in Mile End if I recall correctly.

Make sure you go to “Westway” climbing gym.

                            Very cool.

Did you do Split personality or the direct line? I had repeat falls off the Split Personality – found it hard. What are your thoughts?
