      Hello,

In August/September im am planning a 7 week trip from Darwin to Perth together with my wife. We have just found, that there is also climbing in this areas. Could you give us some advices which are the best areas for sportclimbing for a few days. Level: french 6a to 7b.

We don’t want to do lots of climbing, but we also don’t want to spend too much time in “bad areas” so please give us some “highlights”.

      Thanks Wolfgang

Im not too sure about north of Perth, other than Kalbarri, which has some amazing climbing. In Perth itself you have the Quarries and then south of Perth, Wellington Dam, Bobs Hollow and Walcliffe. While there are numerous other places to climb these locations offer sport climbing where as most of the others you will come across and predominantly Trad. Since your traveling im guessing this will suit you better!

Probably only Kalbarri and a small gorge near Exmouth (Pilgonamen?). Otherwise reports are soft rock and difficult access.
