G’day Climbers,
Winter granite climbing is in full swing and shoes/fingers are being shredded all over town!
On 2-3Aug there will be a trip to Eaglestone Rock (near Merredin, about 3hrs drive from Perth). We are leaving Perth on Sat morning at 8am.
This is a cluster of granite boulders, similar to Darlington but bigger and better bolted.
Please see guidebook here: rossclimbing.typepad.com/EaglestoneGuide.pdf
The trip directions in the guidebook are poor (unlike the rest of it which is excellent!!), so best use Google earth instead
If you want a hardcopy map then download maps from below.

When the road gets to the lake turn right and follow it to the end, around to the south side of the rocky outcrop. Camping is at the crag, fires are permitted, there are no facilities. It will be cold, possibly sub-zero at night.
If you have any queries please call me on 0422 927962. Please text or reply to register so I get some idea of numbers.
Regards
Ross
