    Hi all

I am slowly getting back into climbing after a few years off but although I really haven’t done anything much my fingers have been tweaked a few times. How do I tape them, but more importantly how do I strengthen the tendons to prevent further injury?

    Thanks

    Hi tintaj

This link should give you some clues:

Take it slow and you’ll be right.

Things to avoid for figer injury, in order of importance:

    1. Campusing

    2. Crimping

    3. Bouldering

All of the above will also give you arthritis….the more serious the joints load, the more likely you will get both acute injuries and arthritis. The Rock&Ice mag has some excellent articles, well worth the subscription. Good luck.
