Gosnells Quarry

Whats with Gosnells Quarry. I see the old quarry is fenced off. The gate at the bottom road is open but posted with warning signs about not swimming but the top gate by the upper track is padlocked and posted with warnings about the rock face. Is this genuinely unsafe or is it yet another council playing scared with liability?

I was up there recently and both gates were open, i believe the bottom gate is shut before 8.00am and after 5.00pm but the main quarry gate was open.

Had a good time on Krackaddiction and the 16 over on the short black wall…nice spot…

looking at different gates I think. The main quarry i.e. the fenced off one, has a gate in the 6′ fence in the NW corner with an old sign warning about instability of the rock faces.

The lower gate on the road leading up to the quarry is a nuisance, as you can’t get a safety vehicle up there…

Any bolts up there yet? or are we still forced to use the tree’s some distance back from the rock faces?
