Two “Maxxis” 26 x 1.90 bike tyres. $15 each.

I recently bought a new hybrid bike and it came with ‘worm drive’ tyres. They are basically a patterned slick with moderate teeth on the edges. Lovely and fast but not grippy enough for scrappy gravelly washed out access trails in the hills. They’re fantastic for the road and footpaths (very smooth, fast)and fine for mild grass/dirt tracks. I bought the bike on a Thursday, had one long and a couple of short rides then changed the tyres the following Monday – these tyres are as new.
