I was out at Statham’s Quarry a couple of weekends ago and noticed some new bolts- Morning Glory has an extra FH and also DBB (thank you) and there’s a newly-bolted climb between Hipster Crack and Bonk Night Out. Is this CAWA work? Has anyone who knows more about bolting than me verified that these bolts are ‘safe’ and not bolted by someone with no clue?
I bolted all these climbs (left and right of Hipster crack) and added anchor on Morning Glory. They are safe, the glue is Hilti HIT RE500 – there is no stronger glue on the market. See the new (March 2003) issue of Western Climber for route descriptions. Good climbing.
