      G’day all!

I’m fairly new to this game, and have the CAWA guidebook on where all the climbs are, but I’ve found some quarry areas that so far haven’t seem to have been mentioned anywhere, and was wondering if anyone would like a go at them. So far there’s been no signs of any previous climbing, there’s no bits of protection left around etc.

I’ve not got money for a starter’s kit as far as protection goes, but can boulder happily, some of these parts could be open to some very good lead climbs.

Check out Thomas Rd. in Parkerville/ Mundaring area, for those going E on the Great Eastern Highway, turn left at Begonia’s (petrol station/general store) and then drive for about a half minute onwards and turn right onto Thomas Rd. Youll have no trouble finding the place. 😉

There’s also another excellent area nearby, but I’ll have to research the area a bit more before I can give decent instructions.

      Cheers!

        Hmmm.

Those quarries are pretty poor, even by Perth standards. The only person who may be interested is Jon.

No doubt, his enthusiasm for that area will be unfathomable….

Pretty good for this area though, if you get inventive, there’s some good climbs to do, but you would have to be inventive all the same. Check it out though, I mean… that wall at Cottesloe, John Forrest National Park? Heck, you’re doing better than that. 😉 Hehe, don’t wanna start a flame war, anyway, if anyone wants a hand in knowing how to get there, I’ll work something out with ya via email.

          Cheers!
