    He who missed out

Just wondering what you would need in your rack when going to Peak Charles?? By the looks of it pretty much anything and everything but I would like a more accurate list.

      Cheers

havent been out there for ages but you will need a full trad rack… lots of long slings and some bolt plates..

i’d also take a second rap rope to assist with escapes..as some of the route descripts leave a lot to be desired and the routes can wander.. so you can get off route..

but its a fantastic location well worth the trip…

          Hi,

Anything and everything is an accurate list.

Plus, seconder has small pack with some food, water, head torches, light approach shoes, (sneakers are fine), often light weight warm jackets, (I often use a light water proof jacket).

Long slings, I’d take double ropes if I had them, and a good head for runouts is mandatory. Be conservative. If you pick a climb at your maximum, it will be an epic.

          Relax. Enjoy.

It’s a completely different head space to a 5 metre climb on a Perth boulder.

So when you say a full trad rack. A full set of cams and stoppers will do? I know that the more the better but just to give me an idea. Which size cams are commonly used out there? Same for stoppers? Is there certain sizes that I should double up on?

              Thanx for all the advice.
