Now way way way way wait just a minute … Im a gay climber who surfs !!!

And shock horror, some of your climbing buddies are too !!!

Anyway … WA’s Taij Burrows is competing in the J-Bay Classic, South Africa , right now . The windy/rainy weather system going thru Perth now, is the same fronts that pushed excellent waves into J-Bay about 5 days ago … you mighta seen it on the sports-end of the news .

I’m heading down to Margs tonight to see if this storm frotn will kick up anything worth while.

If not, I’ll just enjoy watching the Saffas v Australia in the pub.

              From coastalwatch.com

              Margaret River WA 7:04am 18/07/2008

              Swell size: 6ft+ rising

Stormy conditions with a 6ft+ swell which is on the rise, very strong W/NW wind and heaps of rain, Winds are predicted to swing W/SW so check the bays inside Cape Naturaliste for a few waves later on.

I’m not into surfing because I respect White Pointers and we have an understanding, I don’t swim in their backyard, and they don’t knock on my front door 🙂

unfortunately no climbing down south over the week-end 🙁 too much rain on Thursday – sunday.

Redgate was pumping over the weekend, but I didn’t manage to get out onto it for a few sets.

Saturday the swell was huge but choppy as hell and Sunday it was barrels all the way about chest high.
