Mt Monganui (spelt different probably). Sweet little sport area. Ask someone, every kiwi knows where the Mount is. PS recent floods may have ruined it.

I was in the North Island last summer for a few weeks.

The best spot I found, where I went for a few days was Froggat and surrounding areas. This is Central North island (not sure where you are based but definitely worth a visit). Location: south east of Hamilton. Make sure you drop into Bryce’s (Cafe/ climbing shop) at Wharepapa South – (very small place) He put up a lot of the climbs in the district. Steep and not so steep pockety limestone. Sport climbs mostly. I found info at a web site, just can’t remember which one at the moment.

            Cheers, Bruce
