I went for a walk along the river at Walyunga (was actually trying to find some of the boulders that Andy climbed on his crank down website– but they are at the lookout) and found a couple decent boulders just before you get to Syd’s Rapids. I cleaned the best one (smallish face– facing the path– pretty obvious. if it’s a sitstart it’s kinda fun– maybe a V2– called The Warrdarchi.) Not really worth the trip for that one alone but if you happen to be hiking that trail and want a short diversion– bring your shoes. might be other stuff around there. Quite a few really easy ones. Next time I’ll try and find the lookout boulders.

I know they should be approached from the other side via Ewing Rd. If anyone had the locations of any other cool new bouldering areas that would be much appreciated too. I live overseas but come back every few years and like to see what new stuff is being put up in Perth. Have printed up and poured over all the mini guides I could find. Fun stuff.
