Thought I’d better write this one up before I totally forget.

The Arete on the LHS of Stellar Wall (1km up river from 4 ways on left as you walk up), is: “The Aimless Blade”, 22 (Rob Wall, May 06). 7 bolts to 2 bolt lower off. Start just L of “Absence of the Bear” and move up and left past 3 or 4 bolts to the arete, then make some big moves on big holds and finish on main wall.

NB. I made this route a bit shorter than the others, as the rock quality at the top is poorer. This would be a 3* route, but its marred by a total rest in the middle. The other routes in this area are all in a recent ‘Rock’ BTW. I am not aware of any subsequent ascents.
