      Talking of competitions, The Hangout’s very successful In House Series, third competition “Autumn 2012” kicks off Monday the 12th March 2012, problems available from 6pm. The competition will follow a similar format to the last ones, with new problems every fortnight, bonuses for flashes and time taken to complete problems, There will again also be some bonus problems with twists.

      Scoring is done by honesty and the competition is fully focused on self improvement and having fun. Once again to compete is free, simply add your name to the spreadsheet on our customers computer and enjoy.

        Hey All

        Our boulder comp is off and running with 80 competitors in the first week. With bonus points for achieving problems within set dates, you have but 6 days (until C.O.B Sunday) to score for round one bonuses. If you want to join in with all of of the possible scoring chances, register this week and post your scores.

          Gareth – Are you going to sneak in a bonus problem in second week of every round to keep punters coming? It sure worked with me. This one is about “3.5” difficulty and really good, with variety.

            Indeed Ross, that’s the plan. This fortnight bonus problem is likely to be hard to try start splitting up the top end boys a bit more. as of this morning, there are 6 new problems up and awaiting your finger tips as we chat.

                  Boulder Comp now officially closed for scoring completed problems. If you haven’t got a score in the you have legitimately earnt let me now early this week and I can add it in.

                  The Party and Finals:

                  FRIDAY 22nd JUNE
                  From 6pm
                  Free Bouldering
                  Bouldering Competition Finals start at 8pm
                  Presentations at 8.45pm
                  FANCY DRESS (anything you like)

                  Don your fave frock, lycra, hat, superhero costume, make-up …or anything else that you have a hankering to wear, and join us to celebrate bouldering and boulderers!

                  BOULDERING ENTRY IS FREE!

                  We will put up new boulder problems to play on, and there will be snacks and people wearing silly clothes …just what every climber pines for on a Friday night!

                  At 8pm we will watch our highest scoring lads and ladies battle it out in the exciting finals! Then we will announce our competition winners and reward them (and others) with some great prizes.

                  CAWA cards earn Tuesdays cheap entry of just $7 if in to climb on rope. Prizes for best fancy dress to.
