Has anyone been out to Threeways recently? I’m keen to head out there but wondering about 2WD access given the comments in the mini-guide.

Went there yesterday, thereowns only one tree on the road which could be driven around in a 2wd. The last 5km wouldn’t be much fun ( and very slow) in a 2wd, but you could just walk it.

Thanks Jack. We went out there today in a 4WD. For anyone else heading out, there are numerous trees down but some already have alternate tracks around them and the most recent one you can get around ok. Overall the road is currently in pretty good condition but there is marked washout in some sections closer to the crag. A 2WD with good ground clearance will get through but would have to take it easy.

And beware of the enormous bull ants with a large nest..they are angry little buggers and one of them got quite possessive over my rope, standing up on his hindlegs and jabbing his pincers at me. It didn’t end well for him I’m afraid.
