I am producing a bouldering guide to Western Australia. It will cover 500+ problems in 20 different bouldering specific areas from Kalbarri to Esperance including extensive areas in Perth. I expect the guide to be published around April next year.

Hopefully the guide will help to generate more interest in bouldering so that the sport is further developed in this state.

Did this eventuate? If so, where can I get a copy? Also, any good books on bouldering tips and techniques for beginners?

I don’t think it ever did get done but a few mini guides are available… i keep wishing they would all get consolidated into a nice little guidebook– i would fork out some dosh for that if someone did put it all together.

The mini guides are good though– I was using the Boulder Rock one a few weeks ago which i think Ben did– good stuff.

while i’m writing– i miss Andy Lampard’s bouldering videos on the crankdown site– hasn’t been a new one in a while and i reckon they are fun and inspiring to watch.

How’s the bouldering guide coming along? Anyhow, probably another 9 months till it’s cool enough for bouldering!
