I’ve recently moved to Albany, have done some indoor climbing a fee year back and want to get into it again. Is there anyone in Albany who climbs and is happy to help a fast learning beginner-level climber?

    Hi Sonja
I am an Albany local and climb nearly every week with Jim Nevan and a few other local riff raff. Most of our climbing is trad but we do top rope, bouldering and a few bolted routes as well. You are more than welcome to tag along if you are keen. My number is 0438429113. leave a msg if you don’t get through.

Ryan, beware of lord humungus, he will sandbag you up a flared offwidth loaded with loose chockstones. I heard master blaster is also back climbing again after a horrific family day out epic.. Stick with Pat, I think he’s onto it, although he may have the offwidth sickness too :/ good luck!

    Hello Pat,
This is Mike. After reading this post it dawned on me I still have your cam, sorry about that. Lily and I haven’t been home much at all since our mothers left in January (we have been surfing a lot in Indonesia). We will be back in Denmark the first week in May, I will give you a call to see when I can get you cam back.
I hope you are well and say hello to Jim (and let him know I enjoyed the books he lent me, I finally finished reading them).

    Cheers,
    Mike

Thanks Pat, I look forward to getting back out (although you will have to drag my out shape self up for a while) and checking out your new routes!
I will call you when we are back in Denmark.

    Hi there guys,
I’ve just moved to Albany, and am interested in starting to climb again after a four year hiatus in the far north. Found this post, are these details still current, and can I use the numbers for Patrick or Ryan that are up here?
    Cheers kim

Hey every body, I’m down in Denmark, thinking of heading over to Albany. Super keen to get out and climb. I’m climbing 24 sport and around 17-18 trad. I have all my own gear, with a single rack upto 3″, plus a spare harness. If anyone needs a partner or would be kind enough to let me tag along I would be stoked. I’m in the area until the 6th or so. Cheers my number is 0423737619.
