Guidebooks

There are six current WA guidebooks available to the public:

• Perth Rock Climbing Guide (2002, CAWA) - out of print but can be downloaded for free here (PDF 20MB).
• West Australian Rock (2002, S Richardson) - covers highlights of the whole state.
• Northern Rock (1996, S Richardson) - any climbing north of Perth, including Kalbarri, Exmouth and Newman.
• Margaret River Rock (1996, S Richardson) - climbing in the Margaret River area, South-West corner of WA.
• South Coast Rock (1998, S Richardson) - the coast between Walpole and Albany.
• The Guide (1995, CAWA) - includes coverage of all the above areas but the 1995 re-print has information 20 years out of date. However, it does cover all of WA and hence is a lot cheaper than buying the above 4 guides. It also includes Stirling Ranges which are not in any other current guidebook.
