The trip is an opportunity to meet new people, check routes you didn’t know about, spend time with likeminded people or pass on your knowledge to the others.
There are over 200 routes at Wilyabrup with 3-star classics such as Banana Split – 13, Hope – 14, One for the Road – 18, Stainless Steel – 21 and KGB – 26 to name a few. If you are an inexperienced climber, then have a chat to some of the more experienced people you know and see if they are planning to attend.
As always, we will be camping at Gracetown caravan park, which has all facilities required. You’ll need to bring just a tent/swag or whatever you need for the night.
We will do our best to assist members in organising carpooling.
The caravan park camping fee is $20 per night with a minimum stay of three nights over the public holiday. Please let us know if you staying less then four nights.
Please note that CAWA trips are a benefit for members. Non-members interested in coming with you can join online now (easiest) or on the first day of the trip.
All participants need to be ‘independent participants’. This means you are responsible for your own safety. Due to legal and liability issues, CAWA does not provide training. If you are an inexperienced climber, then have a chat to some of the more experienced people you know and see if they are planning to attend.
Please get in touch if you have any tips, ideas, questions or suggestions. All of it is welcomed and appreciated.
