Attention filmmakers: The CAWA Film Festival is returning this year!

We are thrilled to announce that the highly anticipated CAWA Film Festival is making a comeback! Calling all filmmakers and climbers to submit their films for this exciting event. Get ready for an incredible showcase of talent and adventure on the big screen!

PRIZES TO BE WON! Don’t miss your chance to compete for our prestigious CAWA Film Award and the coveted People’s Choice Award. Furthermore, filmmakers screened on the night will split revenue from sold tickets.

Show us your passion for climbing and filmmaking, and you can walk away with some fantastic rewards.

Film details

  • Film Length: Maximum 10 minutes (or 20 minutes for featured movies)
  • Format: 1080p, .mp4, >15mbps, 24 & 25 fps accepted
  • Subject/Genre: Doco & Narrative fiction, WA climbing community & activities
  • Indoor and Outdoor movies will be considered.
  • New movies are preferred, although previously screened movies and movies available online will also be considered.

Submission deadline

  • With feedback: 1st September
  • No feedback: 30th September extended till 8th October

  • 1st Place
