Some counterfeit Petzl products have been produced recently in China and unlike some others, these are very difficult to tell apart from the genuine article.
However, there are serious performance issues with these products. It is most likely that they are being sold over the internet at really cheap prices, which should in itself be a potential warning. When tested, they are failing under very little load.
