      Hi, I might have an oppertunity to work/live in Bunbury. I do rock climbing and I would not like to stop or downscale at this stage due to location. Can somebody please advice on the climbing scene in the area? Is the indoor wall good and are there at least a couple of people to hook up with in town to do weekend trips with?

        G’day mate,

        The only indoor option in Bunbury is the PCYC. open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7.30 – 8.30. Very limited i know! But there are some decent climbs there (although short!) and the atmosphere is good. Bunbury isn’t too far to some great outdoor spots (bob’s, wilyabrup, walcliffe) and when the Welly dam quarry opens again, that is really close and great fun.

        You’ll definately get a shock to the system moving from Perth as i did, if you’re used to hitting rockface three times a week then you’ll get serious withdrawals down here. However, there is a great group of guys down here who climb regularly

                  Hi all! I can see it has been a while since anyone was active on here, but thought I’d give it a shot anyway! I’m wondering if people are still climbing at the PCYC? I moved over here in Jan, been driving up to Mandurah/Perth to climb (moved without gear, just finally stocked myself back up again to be able to get outdoors) and keen to find a closer local option. Once the weather warms up a little bit I’ll be chasing advice on the outdoor crags around the place too! Thanks team, looking forward to making some climbing mates 🙂
