    First Ascent, boulder route

V2 Apparently Human Tastes Like Veal

Make your way to Kensitt Street boulders. The first boulder on the walk in, climb the arete corner facing the jane brook.

Slightly overhanging with some technical, puzzle-like moves and an awkward, reachy top out.

To the left in the concave face is a very puzzling route that looks like a V3 with lots of negative holds, side-pulls and gastons. Also the next boulder down on the way to the main Kensitt boulder has a serious looking route well beyond me that resembles something outta Font, a V5 at least if not way higher.

cool man. we, as in claire too? 🙂

i usually park my car on stoneville road and walk in, it’s only a few minutes walk in. if you’ve at the gate at the end if the lane, to the left are fenced off boulders i wish i could touch.

directly ahead is the dude’s place with the wacky-shack with an aussie flag and an old car, he’s a nice dude, a climber himself, but not there often.

to the right of the gate just before are some boulders that are only a few metres away. the V2 is on the very first boulder, on arete facing the creek. a puzzling little project is back on the face to the left of arete.

to get to the boulder i reckon you’d like, simply look down towards the creek and there’s a boulder about 10 metres away from memory (i’ll call this ‘jay boulder’ for the moment to save confusion).

the main boulder that has been bolted by Matt R an Jim T is the obvious large one which you will see from jay boulder about twenty metres or more away, back a bit towards the shack’s direction. it has a 21, 15, and 17 from memory. check matt and jim’s entry in the first ascent section.

if you’re in the area still, back on the bridal path along riley road in the opposite direction of this area is a lovely small patch of boulders that has my first route, a gorgeous V0 that’s very fun (a beautiful area before someone grafittied the rock).

if you’re in the area, need directions, or wanna say hi, giz a shout on 0408 902 897. ciao! 🙂
