I downloaded the newish Mountain Quarry Miniguide. ( thanks to mr Neil)

Me and my mate saw a 16 high on the right of Black Bay called Roar Pleasure. seemed like a good idea at the time and the new guide said 5BR’s to a DBB. I must confess we were warned off by a few other chaps who were sessioning the 25 Month of Sundays. They said ” don’t bother, those climbs are a health hazard”

Having learned the hard way, I agree and would warn anyone off these. two of the 5 bolts require wires and there is only one carrot for an anchor that was half buried by the dirt. I had to set up the anchor off the two carrots at the top of the nearby 18. Anyway , what a sh#t climb to begin with but to have only one dirty carrot set back over a sharp edge as the anchor, that’s not really cool.

I know Perth locals like to keep their rep as hardmen, but what exactly the f#K is up with carrot bolts? it’s 2009 people.

Thank you for setting up a new line and bolting it, but there’s really no point if your bolts and anchors are sh#T is there? just a waste of everybody’s time.

We tried Roar Pleasure recently too and had problems. The second bolt is pretty awkward to use, and the top really sucks. Not recommended.
